This film is Kung Fu Panda, but without the personality, charm and originality. It is made based on the famous video games of the same name using many plot points from the games, without viewers having to have played the games to understand the film.
The animation is fantastic with the looks of the film being spot on, but everything about the story and the way it is told is childish and has no marrow to it. It’s rated for an audience of ages 7 and above which is alright, but it really brings nothing to anyone above 5. There are no subplots and no personality for the main character or any other characters for that matter. Every scene is blatantly black and white with exposition leaving nothing for the audience.
